Circular design for industry and technologies to advanced circular production
A circular economy is high on the European Union’s agenda, and the European Green Deal, which is a key strategy for the circular economy, outlines development priorities until 2050
Which topics will we discuss during the first part of the conference?
Circular Economy Action Plan
Representatives from the European Commission, Rosalinde van der Vlies, Director for Clean Planet, and Peter Dröll, Director for Prosperity, both representing the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, European Commission, during our conference will talk about how important the green transformation is for EU initiatives in the field of research and innovation.
Green Digital Innovation Hubs
Agnieszka Włodarczyk-Gębik, the coordinator of the Smart Circuit project from the Krakow Technology Park, will talk about where to find reliable knowledge and good practices in the field of green transformation, using the example of this new initiative undertaken by nine European countries.
Circular design for industry
Ongoing changes in the business environment, current trends, upcoming legislation, and changing problems and consumer needs require proper knowledge and adaptation of the sales offer of companies starting already from the design stage of products to meet the requirements arising from extended producer responsibility.
How can we increase the awareness of our organization/company to act more responsibly? Are the products offered designed to be reused, disassembled or repaired? Do we take into account the need to change the design of our product for the benefit of the company and the environment?
Katarzyna Śliwa and Krzysztof Bogomaz from Ergo Design Sp. z o. o. share their knowledge and practice of how to start a circular change and how to design for the industry in accordance with the circular economy.
Circular value chains – success stories and lessons for the future
Three different perspectives on using modern technologies to support circular economy solutions. How to ensure sustainable development in industry? How to reduce waste and greenhouse gas emissions from industry?
Our guests from Austria and the Czech Republic will present the best case studies and lessons learned from their implementations, demonstrating the potential of cleaner production in solving existing environmental problems of companies.
Close cooperation between business and the scientific community, including the use of innovative intelligent materials, is a support for such implementations.
Regional cooperation for a Green Europe
During the panel discussion, we will talk about support instruments that are available for entrepreneurs in the circular economy field. Are European regions obligated to create circular economy strategies and roadmaps towards green transformation? What actions towards a greener Europe are being taken by regions such as Małopolska, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Austria?
