Green & Digital EXCITE (Erasmus for young Entrepreneurs)
Europe is calling: New project facilitates contacts and cooperation for creative entrepreneurs
The Green & Digital EXCITE (GD EXCITE) project supports new entrepreneurs in the cultural and creative industries, especially women and young entrepreneurs. The project helps to develop entrepreneurial skills through international collaboration and mentoring with experienced companies. It also supports green and digital innovations in the cultural and creative industries and creates new employment and cooperation opportunities. Eight experienced partners provide the ideal network for establishing new contacts and building long-term international collaborations.
Creative entrepreneurs with less than three years of business experience or those who want to work independently in the future can spend several months in companies abroad. There they can be inspired, build new partnerships and expand their entrepreneurial knowledge. During their stay, they receive a financial contribution towards their living expenses.
In return, companies that have been active in the sector for more than three years benefit from fresh ideas and impulses from the foreign guests.
The project is co-financed by the “Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs” programme. The Green & Digital EXCITE project is co-funded by the European Union as part of the Erasmus+ programme.
The GD EXCITE project aims to:
- Strengthen entrepreneurial skills → Mentoring especially in the areas of entrepreneurship, leadership and financial competences needed to start and run successful businesses in the economic sector
- Enable cross-border cooperation → Call for support for up to 232 exchanges (to adapt business models to support green and digital transformation)
- Improve the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and create new jobs
- Promote growth and the transformation of digital and green business models → Promote readiness for green projects and the green transition in the future
- Strengthen innovation potential of universities and related sectors → GD EXCITE focuses mainly on creating partner networks with other sectors to support this cross-innovation effect
- Promote gender balance in the field of entrepreneurship → the project focuses on supporting women in entrepreneurship
- Also have an impact in selected countries outside the EU → 10 exchanges in the countries USA, Canada, Singapore and the United Kingdom
- Creation of information packages about the individual associated countries
- Creation of FAQs for applicants
- 6 physical matching meetings between applicants and their host organisations
- Workshops focussing on the creation of a business model
- Kick-off meetings for entrepreneurs
- 232 exchange visits to EU countries
- 10 exchange visits to non-EU countries
- Publication of success stories of young entrepreneurs with analyses and impacts
